BS, Missouri University of Science & Technology, 2011

Expertise

Teaches engineering design and 3D modeling with a focus on practical applications

Research

At WashU, Jeff's research experience focused on fluid mechanics in biological systems, modeling blood flow in hemodialysis access circuits. He used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) to investigate the effects of fluid properties and access construction on access development and dysfunction.

Biography

Jeff joined the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis in 2019, after working as a graduate researcher for four years. Prior to coming to WashU, he worked as a project development engineer at Control Technology and Solutions in St. Louis, MO (2013-2015), and as a process engineer at the Naval Reactors Facility on the Idaho National Lab (2011-2013).

In industry, Jeff first worked on heavy mechanical equipment, radiological controls, and radiation shielding at the Idaho National Lab. Following that, Jeff moved back to the Midwest to work on large scale, energy focused building projects looking at everything from geothermal wells and solar panels to rooftops and windows.
